FAQs

What is an escape room?

An escape room is a themed adventure game where players are “locked” in a room and must solve puzzles and clues in order to escape within a certain time limit.

How many people can participate in an escape room?

Rooms have a minimum of two (2) participants and a maximum of eight (8), but we recommend a maximum of six (6) as some of the spaces are small and if there are too many, sometimes teammates feel left out. A participant is anyone who will be in the room, regardless of how much they intend to participate or what their age is.

How much does it cost?

2 participants – $40/participant
3-4 participants – $35/participant
5-8 participants – $30/participant

Do you offer discounts?

We love our heroes. First responders, active-duty military and veterans always receive a 10% discount from the Devil’s Den. And we realize that the dependents of our active-duty folks make huge sacrifices as well, so we include them in our discount program. This discount applies to all members of the hero’s group too, not just the hero themself!

In order to receive the discount, just bring your agency ID, military ID, dependent ID card or other documentation showing your status and show it to your game master upon check in. It’s as easy as that. In the event that you are unable to provide verification, understand that we will keep your reservation, but will revert the price to the lowest general public price for that booking. To claim the hero’s discount, utilize the promotional code HEROES_10 when booking your room.

How long does an escape room typically last?

Our escape rooms must be completed in one hour or less. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so that we can briefly explain your escape room adventure and the rules. When you are finished, we would also love to grab a quick photo of your group!

Are escape rooms safe?

Yes, escape rooms are safe, and you are never truly locked in! It is important that players follow the rules and safety guidelines we provide. It’s important to note that some rooms may involve physical challenges or elements that could pose a risk to players with certain medical conditions or disabilities.

Do I need any special skills to participate in an escape room?

No, you don’t need any special skills to participate in an escape room. The puzzles and clues are designed to be challenging but solvable, and teamwork is often key to success.

What should I wear to an escape room?

You should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move around in. Avoid wearing anything that could be restrictive or uncomfortable.

What should I bring?

Your imagination and your creative problem solving skills. That’s really it.

We do not prohibit cameras or cell phones in our rooms, but ask that you not utilize them during your play time. Outside knowledge is not required (so Google ain’t gonna help ya!) and we ask you to limit pictures to the common areas outside of the game rooms in order to not spoil the experience for others. Your cooperation is appreciated. We do ask that you not bring unnecessary belongings. Our rooms are not warehouses and space is limited. We will provide locked storage for your group to leave bags, phones, coats, etc. However, they are lockers, not shipping containers, so keeping contents limited is necessary.

What happens if we don't escape in time?

If you don’t escape in time, the game will end and you will not be able to continue. However, we will provide a debriefing and explanation of what you missed or what you could have done differently if desired.

Can we book a private room for just our group?

All of our bookings are private. Your group will be the only group in the room.
